Prof. Radu-Emil Precup

Chairman of the Management Board
Radu-Emil Precup (M IEEE ’03 – SM IEEE ’07 – F IEEE ’25) was born in Lugoj, Romania, in 1963. He received the Dipl.Ing. (Hons.) degree in automation and computers from the “Traian Vuia” Polytechnic Institute of Timisoara in 1987, the Diploma in Mathematics from the West University of Timisoara in 1993, and the Ph.D. degree in automatic systems from the “Politehnica” University of Timisoara in 1996. 
He is currently a Professor in the Department of Automation and Applied Informatics at the Politehnica University of Timisoara and a Doctoral Supervisor in automation and systems engineering. Since 2022, he has also been a Senior Researcher (CS I) and Head of the Data Science and Engineering Laboratory at the Romanian Academy, Timisoara Branch. 
Prof. Precup has held academic and research positions at institutions in France, Hungary, Austria, and Australia. He is Executive Co-Editor-in-Chief of Information Sciences (Elsevier), Editor-in-Chief of the Romanian Journal of Information Science and Technology, and has served on the editorial boards of numerous leading international journals including IEEE Transactions and Elsevier publications.

Prof. Valentin L. Popov

Member of the Management Board
Valentin L. Popov is a Full Professor at Technische Universität Berlin and Head of the Department of System Dynamics and the Physics of Friction. He obtained his Ph.D. from Moscow State Lomonosov University and has published over 400 scientific papers. 
He is the author of the book Contact Mechanics and Friction, published in multiple languages, and Editor-in-Chief of Frontiers in Mechanical Engineering / Tribology. His research interests include tribology, nanotribology, biotribology, and numerical simulations of contact and friction phenomena.

Prof. Goran Šimunović

Goran Šimunović is a Full Professor at the Mechanical Engineering Faculty in Slavonski Brod, Croatia. He is Vice-Editor-in-Chief of the journal Tehnički vjesnik – Technical Gazette. His research interests include modelling, simulation, optimization, multi-criteria analysis, and artificial intelligence applications in machining and process planning.

Prof. Sergey V. Dmitriev

Member of the Management Board
Sergey V. Dmitriev is Head of Laboratory at the Institute of Molecule and Crystal Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences. He has authored more than 450 publications and held academic positions in Russia and Japan, including a full professorship at the University of Tokyo. His research areas include mechanical engineering, electroplasticity, nanomaterials, crystal lattice defects, and nonlinear dynamics.

Prof. Babak Safaei

Member of the Management Board
Babak Safaei is an Associate Professor at Eastern Mediterranean University and Director of the Nanotechnology and Multifunctional Structures Research Center. He received his Ph.D. from Tsinghua University and has been listed among the World’s Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University and Elsevier. His research interests include computational mechanics, micro- and nano-mechanics, composite materials, advanced manufacturing, lightweight structures, and energy harvesting.

Prof. Hamid M. Sedighi

Hamid M. Sedighi is an Associate Professor at Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz. His research focuses on MEMS/NEMS, nonlinear vibrations, piezoelectric materials, and thermoelasticity. He serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Applied and Computational Mechanics and leads the Metamaterials Lab at Shahid Chamran University.

Prof. Fischer Szabolcs

Member of the Management Board
Fischer Szabolcs is a Full Professor at Széchenyi István University and a habilitated Associate Professor at Budapest University of Technology and Economics. His expertise lies in railway engineering, transportation infrastructure, and civil engineering education. 
He has supervised numerous Ph.D. students, serves on multiple doctoral councils, and maintains extensive international research collaborations across Europe and beyond.
