About ORBIT

ORBIT – Association for Optimization, Risk, and Business Intelligence in Transformation is an international, nonprofit scientific association dedicated to advancing research, knowledge exchange, and practical applications in optimization, risk management, and business intelligence. Since its foundation in 2015, ORBIT has grown into a global hub for academics, industry professionals, and policymakers committed to transforming organizations and economies through evidence-based decision-making and innovative problem-solving.

Our History

Founded in 2015 by internationally recognized scientists, researchers, and university professors, ORBIT was established to integrate advanced optimization techniques, risk assessment methodologies, and business intelligence tools into organizational and economic transformation.

Over the years, ORBIT evolved from a professional network into an independent, fully structured scientific association. We have built international collaborations, conducted high-impact research projects, and developed practical frameworks for industry, finance, and public administration. Our mission is to bridge the gap between scientific knowledge and real-world implementation, ensuring informed, strategic, and resilient decision-making.

Our Focus Areas

Optimization and Decision Analytics: Designing and implementing advanced optimization methods and predictive models that enhance organizational performance, focusing on strategic planning, operational efficiency, and decision-support systems.

Risk Assessment and Management: Developing methodologies to identify, analyze, and mitigate risks across financial, operational, and technological domains, integrating quantitative and qualitative approaches for robust solutions.

Business Intelligence and Transformation: Leveraging data analytics, artificial intelligence, and intelligent information systems to support organizational transformation and sustainable growth, turning data into actionable insights.

  • Conferences, Workshops, and Webinars: International events that bring together experts to share knowledge, discuss trends, and explore innovative solutions.
  • Training and Certification Programs: Advanced training and certification courses to enhance skills of researchers, professionals, and students.
  • Collaborative Projects and Consulting: Applied research projects, strategic frameworks, and decision-support solutions in partnership with industry, government, and academia.
  • Knowledge Sharing and Networking: A platform for interdisciplinary collaboration, enabling members to exchange ideas and form research partnerships.

Funding and Sustainability

The ORBIT association sustains its activities through membership contributions, competitive research grants, institutional and industry partnerships, training and educational program revenues, and voluntary donations. As a nonprofit scientific association (code 5811), all surplus funds are fully reinvested into research dissemination, scientific publishing, conferences, training initiatives, and collaborative programs. This model ensures long-term sustainability, transparency, and broad accessibility of the ORBIT association’s scientific and educational activities.

Our Achievements and Impacts

The ORBIT association has established a strong record in scientific publishing, including peer-reviewed books, journals, conference proceedings, scientific papers, and technical reports, many of which are indexed and cataloged in recognized academic systems such as COBISS, serving as lasting scholarly references.

In addition, the ORBIT association has successfully organized and supported international conferences, workshops, webinars, and training programs that promote interdisciplinary collaboration across engineering, decision sciences, and operational research. Through these activities, ORBIT association fosters innovation, strengthens cooperation between academia, industry, and policymakers, and contributes to the development of practical solutions for complex societal and technological challenges.
